CLARK, Max. (Unknown-Decorah, IA, Dec. II, 1982).  Clark held the position of school superintendent in Dubuque from 1946 until 1966. In February, 1966 it was announced that Clark would be shifted to the new position of administrative consultant in the district when his contract expired in June, 1966. His responsibilities would be in the areas of building programs, financing and federal programs.  He was replaced by [[WESSEL, Garyln|Garlyn WESSEL]]. (1)

In Dubuque, Clark was active in the Northeast Iowa Boy Scout Council, the Dubuque Community Chest and the Dubuque Rotary Club.
