The Daily Herald writer commented that the owner "would look a long time for another prompt-paying tenant at $50.00 per month. (2)


In February 1880, the hotel was listed for sale by [[LANGWORTHY, Solon|Solon LANGWORTHY]]. The building was described as being 44' x 44', three-stories high, "situated commandingly and supplied with all modern improvements." Located at the head of Julien Avenue, it "would make country store, hotel, or boarding house." (2)
