PEOPLE'S SAVINGS BANK. The People's Savings Bank was opened in April, 1866. John THOMPSON was the president while L. D. Randall was the vice-president and Julius K. GRAVES served as treasurer. (1)
The 1868 Guide, Gazetteer and Directory of the Dubuque & Soux (sic) City Railroad stated that this business was located at 97 Main.
The 1868-69 Dubuque City Directory listed the northwest corner of Main and 5th.
The 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory listed 125 Main.
The bank merged with FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE in 1875. (2)
