KRETSCHMER, Fred L. (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 22, 1927--Colorado Spring, CO, Jan. 5, 2000). Company president. Kretschmer was a graduate of [[LORAS ACADEMY]] in 1945 and attended [[LORAS COLLEGE]]. He served in [[WORLD WAR II]] and was on the staff of the Adjutant General Department in the occupation of Japan.

Kretschmer was a past president of KRETSCHMER-TREDWAY COMPANY, manager of the Dubuque Street Products Company, and former president of the Dubuque Traffic Association. He was a member of the board of directors of Solidarity Corp. in Pittsford, New York.

He served on the Loras College Advisory Board and the Clarke College Development Council.
