WAGNER, Martin. (Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, Feb. 13, 1833--Dubuque, IA, July 20, 1919). Wagner learned his trade of stonecutting and contracting in Germany and came to the Dubuque in 1854. In 1867 he formed a partnership with [[SCHULTE, Bernard|Bernard SCHULTE]] to establish the company of [[SCHULTE AND WAGNER]] on the corner of White and 10th.
