In 1995 he and his wife along with Larry and Cindy Richey began the buyout of Dubuque Stamping keeping the business in the community. In 2000 the buyout was completed.

SPAHN, David W. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Spahn graduated from LORAS COLLEGE in 1971. He worked for seven years as a financial institutions examiner with the National Credit Union Administration in Chicago and then joined FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE in 1982 as an assistant vice president and controller. (1) He was promoted to vice president and controller in 1983. (2) In 1992 he began his career with DUBUQUE STAMPING AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY.

In 1995 he and his wife along with Larry and Cindy Richey began the buyout of Dubuque Stamping keeping the business in the community. In 2000 the buyout was completed.

In 1980 he was elected to a three-year term on the board of United Way. In 1983 he was re-elected. He was named to the JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BUSINESS HALL OF FAME in 2022.
