ANDREW, George W. (Dubuque, IA, Mar. 17, 1848--Lombard, IL, Sept. 7, 1931). During the CIVIL WAR, Andrew served in the 5th Iowa Cavalry, Company E. (1)
When Andrew left Dubuque in 1890 to move to Chicago, he was the senior member of the hardware firm of Andrew, Tredway and Sons. In Chicago he had purchased an interest in an ink manufacturing plant. (2)
He was one of the charter members of the DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION.
