BROWN, Maurice Jr. (Dubuque, IA, July 12, 1868--St. Augustine, FL, Mar. 22, 1929). The son of railroad contractor, Maurice BROWN, Maurice began work at the IOWA TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK soon after it was organized in 1884. Beginning as a clerk, he rose to the office of president which he held for seventeen years.

Brown was also president of the DUBUQUE CLEARING HOUSE ASSOCIATION and the Bank and Insurance Building Company.
