PETTIBONE, Bronson. (Oneida Co., NY, May 3, 1830---Nashotah, WI, Jan. 21, 1909). Pettibone came west to Iowa in 1852 and settled in Dubuque. He clerked in a store and afterward opened his own dry-goods business in 1862. After several years, Pettibone changed careers and entered the grocery and provision trade.
