AMERICAN AIR CIRCUS. Sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars in September, 1939, the air show was held at Bradley Field, six miles south of Dubuque on Highway 61. In addition to airplanes, the show carried its own seating arrangements for 20,000 people.
