LOUIS G. HURD--1245 GROVE TERRACE. Louis Hurd purchased the property for this home on August 27, 1886 for $500.  He had a three-story home constructed with the intention of making the top floor into a ballroom. This was never completed, however, before his death.

In the 1930s the second floor was removed, the third floor was dropped down and the home was converted into a duplex. The wood removed was used to construct a home on Mullen Street.

LOUIS G. HURD--1245 GROVE TERRACE. Louis G. HURD purchased the property for this home on August 27, 1886 for $500. He had a three-story home constructed with the intention of making the top floor into a ballroom. This was never completed, however, before his death.

In the 1930s the second floor was removed, the third floor was dropped down and the home was converted into a duplex. The wood removed was used to construct a home on Mullen Street.

The home was purchased in 1985 and return to a single-family residence.
