FRICK, Anton 'Tony'. (Austria--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 2, 1943). Anton (Tony) Frick, veteran Dubuque sign writer whose signature, "Frick Again" was known to thousands of Dubuquers for nearly a half a century. He came to this country with his parents, the late Frank J. and Helen Frick. They settled in Dubuque in 1893. Mr. Frick was a member of [[SAINT PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH]] and of the Holy Name Society of that parish.  
FRICK, Anton 'Tony'. (Austria--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 2, 1943). Anton (Tony) Frick was a veteran Dubuque sign writer whose signature, "Frick Again" was known to thousands of Dubuquers for nearly a half a century.  


Mr. Frick was engaged in the sign writing, church decorating and pictorial painting fields in Dubuque for more than forty years. For many years he made most of the display signs used by Dubuque retail firms and every sign he painted carried the widely-known signature, "Frick Again". Mr. Frick had his workshop just east of Main Street on West Thirteenth Street for many years.
He came to this country with his parents, the late Frank J. and Helen Frick. They settled in Dubuque in 1893. Mr. Frick was a member of [[ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH]] and of the Holy Name Society of that parish.
