TSCHIRGI, George. (Dubuque, IA--Wyola, MT, Jan. 5, 1936). The son of Mathias TSCHIRGI and Katherina Zollicoffer Tschirgi, lived in Dubuque during his youth and then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where his father provided him with a ranch. George later moved to Montana was one of the first permanent settlers.
After years of purchasing land, his holdings in Montana and Arizona were among the largest. He was known as a horticulturist and agriculturist.
One of George Tschirgi's children was Matthew Heinrich TSCHIRGI.
