PARADISO, Joseph A. (Dubuque, IA-Dubuque, IA, Apr. 23, 1976). Band leader. Paradiso, owner and operator of the Lux Club and candidate for county auditor in 1972, played trumpet professionally for over thirty-seven years and led a popular local dance band.
Paradiso was an original member of the Dubuque Citizens Advisory Commission and served on the board of the Commission of the Blind / and the Dubuque Blood Bank. He held membership in the local Lions Club, served as president and district governor of Lions International, and was president of the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB Boosters.
