SCHMID MANUFACTURING COMPANY. Organized in 1891 for the purpose of manufacturing casket hardware, the Schmid Manufacturing Company's factory and office were located at 17th and Elm STREETS.
The 1899-1900 through 1922 Dubuque City Directory listed 18th and Washington.
The 1939 Dubuque City Directory and 1942 Dubuque Classified Business Directory listed 260 E. 18th.
