The 1859-1860 through 1868-69 Dubuque City Directory listed "John Maclay" at 158 Main.
In 1870-1871 his business was that of being a horse shoer. He also sold stoves.
The 1875-1876 through 1880 Dubuque City Directory placed the company at 768 Main.
