Drees Brothers. During the 1860s and 1870s, the Drees Brothers operated a coopersmith and brass foundry. The 1870-1871 and 1874-1875 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located on the southeast corner of 10th and Washington. The company manufactured copper and sheet iron products as well as all kinds of products made in a brass foundry. They specialized in manufacturing soda water apparatus.
