The 1951 and 1955 Dubuque City Directory listed 501 Bank and Insurance Building.
The 1962 through 1970 Dubuque City Directory listed 202 Fischer Building.
It was renamed Friedman Insurance, Inc. by 1966 when it was located at 202 Fischer Building.
In 2010 the company was located at 880 Locust.
In February, 2012 The Friedman Group Inc. announced it would soon merge with a holding company of several Iowa-based insurance businesses - a move Friedman's president says will benefit both the Dubuque-based insurance and financial services company and its clients. LMC Insurance, or LaMair-Mulock-Condon, had corporate offices in West Des Moines, and also included Molyneaux Insurance in Davenport, Independent Insurance Services in Marshalltown, and Agri-Business Insurance Services in Des Moines.
The merger appealed for leaders at Friedman because all current shareholders would remain so in the holding company, and no employees will lose their jobs, according to Friedman.
Dubuque-based Friedman would will still be called The Friedman Group.
