Founded in the late 1980s, the band claimed to play the Chicago-style blues of such greats as Muddy Waters and wanted to appeal to a larger audience of those who liked the simple blues rhythms at the roots of rock 'n' roll. Songs played by the group included music by Lonnie Mack, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, and the Allman Brothers.
