JOHN G. BECKER & CO. Becker began appearing in city directories in 1895. The 1904-1907 Dubuque City Directory located this business at 2181 Couler Avenue. As early as 1901 a second store was located at 88 West Locust. By 1907 Henry Becker was listed as a partner. Anna Becker was listed with the company after 1907.
By 1910 the principle store was located at 2132 Couler.
The 1918 Dubuque and East Dubuque City Directory through the 1929 Dubuque City Directory listed 2162 Couler.
