HAM & CARVER. The 1867 Dubuque City Directory and the 1868 Guide, Gazetteer and Directory of the Dubuque & Soux (sic) City Railroad stated that this business was located at the corner of Main & 6th. It was still listed there in 1870-1871.

The 1874-1875 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located in the New Herald Building.

The 1875-1876 Dubuque City Directory gave the corner of 6th and Main as the address.

According to the 1883 and 1884-1885 Dubuque City Directory, the business was re-located to the southeast corner of 6th and Locust.
