KNIGHT, A.R. (Wardsborough, Windham County, VT. Nov. 22, 1848-- ). Jeweler. Knight moved west in 1867 and settled for a time in Chicago where he was employed by Giles Bros. and Co., jewelers. He moved to Dubuque in 1868 as a representative of the company and remained with them for ten years.

In 1878 Knight formed a partnership with his nephew, Frank Knight. This arrangement lasted for eighteen months when he bought out his partner. Knight's business was located at 708-714 Main Street.
