He was a member of the American, Iowa State and Dubuque County medical associations, being president of the latter. He delivered a course of lectures in the Dubuque County schools and contributed extensively to various papers and medical magazines. He was recognized as an authority on X-ray work and tuberculosis. During war times, Dr. Blocklinger served on the medical examining board and at his death held the rank of captain in the medical reserve corps. | |||
