PHILLIPS PETROLEUM COMPANY. Incorporated at Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1917, the Phillips Petroleum Company was headquartered there for eighty-five years. In 2002 Phillips, Oklahoma's then-largest company, and Conoco, Inc., merged to become ConocoPhillips and relocated to Houston, Texas. This new, international, diversified energy firm in 2017 was the third-largest integrated energy company and the second largest refiner in the United States. (1)
The 1934 Dubuque City Directory listed the bulk plant at E 3rd and stations at the corner of Delhi and Asbury, Jones and Locust and 660 W. Locust.
The 1937 Dubuque City Directory listed 680 W. Locust.
The 1939 through 1968 Dubuque City Directory listed 315 E. 3rd.
