MCDONALD, J. Bruce (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 3, 1928--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 24, 1989). The son of Mr. and Mrs. [[MCDONALD, Delos|Delos MCDONALD]], J. Bruce was a former president of the Dubuque Traffic Association and Shot Tower Sports, Inc; chairman of the Visitation Advisory Board; board member and past president of the [[DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB]], board member of [[AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK]] and [[JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TRI-STATES, INC.]], and a member of the Mercy Health Center Development and [[CLARKE COLLEGE]] advisory boards. McDonald was also a member of the board of directors and a past chairman of the membership committee of the [[DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE]], [[JULIEN DUBUQUE YACHT CLUB]], [[DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY]], [[DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB]], and the board of the United Way.
