ZUCKERMAN, Harvey. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 23, 1931--Napa, CA, Aug. 24, 2015). Zuckerman graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, attended LORAS COLLEGE and then graduated from Indiana University in 1953. He served in the US Army for two years after college. Harvey owned and managed ZUCKIE'S which was opened by his parents during WORLD WAR II to exclusively sell women's fashions.
Upon his return from military service in 1955, Zuckerman opened STEVENS SMARTWEAR on Seventh and Main STREETS. He operated CLOTHES HORSE (THE) on University Avenue during the 1960s and moved Stevens to KENNEDY MALL in 1970. ZUCKIE'S closed in January 1991.
