GIBBS, Jennifer. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Actress and playwright. Gibbs, a 1988 [[STEPHEN HEMPSTEAD HIGH SCHOOL]] graduate was a member of the Harvard class of 1992. A Mellon Fellow in the Humanities, she received her graduate degree in Comparative Literature from NYU. In 2009, she worked as an actress & playwright in New York City. Her play, ''The Sweater Girl'', is based on the [[WORLD WAR II]] bomber pilot, Lt. Gibbs' solo show ''IMMORTALITY'' (Edna St. Vincent Millay) won the 2005 New York Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award (Outstanding Performance). Jennifer founded collective First Fig to encourage artists from different backgrounds.
