GALLIART, Fredric L. (Dubuque, IA, July 15, 1921--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 15, 2013). The son of Clarence and Cathryn Galliart, Fredric was a member of the DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1937 Iowa High School State Championship track team. He was also a switch-hitting center-fielder who was inducted into the DUBUQUE COUNTY BASEBALL HALL OF FAME in 2000.
Galliart received six Bronze Stars for his service during WORLD WAR II. He returned to Dubuque and became an electrician. In 2001 he was recognized for fifty years of membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
