KIRCH, Norman W. (Dubuque, IA, Sept. 7, 1931--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 5, 2008). Kirch was a former president and director of the Masonic Temple Association, Dubuque High Twelve Club, Eagles Club, UAW Local 94, Noon Optimist Club, DUBUQUE BOAT CLUB, Dubuque Shrine Club, Oxus Grotto, DeMolay, Barber Shoppers, SPEBSQSA and a Hospital Dad.
Kirch was also very active in the BOY SCOUTS. He was an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 5, served on many training courses, and held the position of activities chairman for the Cub and Boy Scouts. He was a vigil honor member of the Order Of The Arrow BSA, member of the council executive board, and past president of the Northeast Iowa Council executive board. Kirch received the Dubuque District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award from the Northeast Iowa Council of the BSA.
