PEASLEE, Edward C. (Anamosa, IA, Aug. 24, 1858--Dubuque, IA, June 3, 1939). Peaslee joined his father in the [[PEASLEE, BREDE COMPANY]] when it was located at the southwest corner of West 4th and Iowa [[STREETS]].

He left the brewery in 1905 to begin work at the [[JOHN ERNSDORFF IRON COMPANY]] and became its secretary and treasurer until the closing of the company in 1927.

Peaslee was one of the prominent members of the Masonic Lodge in Dubuque. He was also a member of the [[OXUS GROTTO M.O.V.P.E.R.]] and the [[DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION]] for many years. He was a member of the Linwood Cemetery Association board of directors and for the last ten years of his life was the president and managing superintendent of the association.
