D. C. GLASSER TOBACCO CO. The D. C Glasser Tobacco Company filed articles of incorporation with the county recorder in January 1892. The directors were D. C. Glasser, Francis JAEGER, Peter KIENE, Alois Glab, and Franc W. ALTMAN. The officers were D. C. Glasser, president and general manager; Francis Jaeger, vice president; and F. W. Altman, secretary and treasurer. The store was located at the corner of 4th and Main. (1)
The 1909 Dubuque City Directory through the 1918 Dubuque and East Dubuque Directory located this business at 402 Main. The store was still advertising in 1923.
