Special appreciation goes to [[REDING, Robert Joseph|Robert Joseph Reding]] whose collections have added hundreds of pictures to this website. Another vast collection of Dubuque artifacts opened to us for sale and the development of this site came from Cathy's Treasures at 156 Main St. in Dubuque. For information on obsolete Iowa currency, we turned to the owners of Dubuque Coin and Antique, an acknowledged leader in providing Midwestern collectors with a wealth of fine coins and currency. We are indebted to William K. Hammel, our contributing author, for his research and entries dedicated to the history of this fascinating city.

Welcome to Encyclopedia Dubuque, the revised and expanded online form of the popular reference book Dubuque: The Encyclopedia written by Randolph W. Lyon. Encyclopedia Dubuque features more than 1,795 images and over 3,203 articles relating to the history and culture of Dubuque, Iowa.
