DONOVAN, Dennis W. (County Cork, Ireland, circa 1823--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 12, 1891). Supervisor. Arriving in the United States in 1841, Donovan served as a member of the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors from January 1, 1861 until December 31, 1868, representing Table Mound Township where he farmed.  He also served one tern in the Iowa House of Representatives from January 1, 1868 until December 31, 1869.
