Brimeyer graduated from St. Francis Catholic School in Balltown. He served with the United States Army in San Francisco from 1954 - 1956 and was a First Sergeant in the motor pool. In 1957 he started a one-man body shop in Balltown. He moved what became [[BRIMEYER BODY SHOP]] to John F. Kennedy Road and operated it until 1995. He was also associated with Brimeyer Real Estate, Inc.

Brimeyer was very involved with stock car racing over the years and generously sponsored many cars. Willard was a member of the [[DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY]], Dubuque County Fair Association, Balltown River Trails & Asbury Snowhawks Snowmobile Clubs. His service on the Dubuque County Conservation Board which led him to many volunteer hours on the [[HERITAGE TRAIL]].

BRIMEYER, Willard A. (Balltown, IA, Dec. 31, 1931--Dubuque, IA, June 29, 2013) The son of Alphonse and Elenora (Hansen) Brimeyer, Willard married Rita A. Lex on April 12, 1958 at St. Philomena's Catholic in Asbury.
