BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH

BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH. In 2018 "The Church with a Heart for Missions" was located at 940 Walker Street in Dubuque. The missions listed on the church website included:

            1. Bible Baptist Academy. BBA meets Tuesday through Friday 
               every week during the school year. The ACE Program is 
               used to teach these children reading, writing, and 
               arithmetic.

            2. Bus Ministry.  Begun in 2001 following a popular week at 
               vacation Bible school, a regular Sunday youth program for 
               children of different ages that made Bible lessons fun. 
               The issue was how to get the children from downtown Dubuque 
               to the church.

               The solution was found by purchasing old public school buses, 
               painting them blue, and after refurbishing them using the 
               buses to shuttle children from their homes to church. Buses 
               left the church at about 1:00 p.m. after Sunday worship service. (1)

               In 2018 the church had two buses and two 15 passenger vans to
               bring children and adults to church.

            3. Children's Church. During the 11:00 am service, classes for 
             children ages 4-7.

            4. Junior Church. During the 11:00 am service, the class for 
             children ages 8-11.

            5. King's Kids. Children ages 4-12 get to enjoy a time of Bible 
             memory, games, snack, and preaching during King's Kids. This 
             happens during the 7:00 Wednesday p.m. service.

            6. Nursery. For each service, we provide a nursery for children 
             through age three. 

            7. Roaring 20s. This class is for single Young Adults ages 20-29. 
             It meets during the 10:00 Sunday School hour. 

          8. RU Ministry. Reformer's Unanimous is an addiction program out 
             of Rockford, Illinois. We have a group that meets at our church 
             every Friday at 7:00 pm and every Sunday morning at 10:00 am.

          9. Teen Ministry. All teens ages 13-19 have their own class during 
             10:00 am Sunday School hour. There are also many activities planned 
             during the month for this age group.
