EGYPTIAN REVIVAL ARCHITECTURE. The Egyptian Revival flourished during the period 1820-1850 and was used primarily for memorials, cemeteries, and prisons. Egyptian Revival made a comeback during the 1920s with the Art Deco style and the fascination with the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922. (1)
