MUYGENBURG, Diedrich. (Germany, 1823--Unknown). Muygenburg emigrated to America in 1854 and settled in Dubuque in 1855. To learn the brick-making business, he began working in a brickyard. In 1876, he began his own brickyard and produced 700,000 annually.

In 1863, he married Miss Frederika Muker, a native of Germany; they had four children.
