KERRIGAN, Frank R. (Guthrie County, IA, Oct. 28, 1890--Dubuque, IA, January 18, 1955). Kerrigan graduated from Iowa State College in 1916 and taught school for one year. He was then hired by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and later worked for a short time for the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation.

He was then hired by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and later worked for a short time for the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation.


Kerrigan came to Dubuque County as Extension Director following a year's service in Ida County. He was president of the Iowa organization of extension directors and in 1935 the National Association of County Agents. As a member of the Land Grant Colleges Committee, he helped write legislation concerning county agents.  For several years, he was an adviser to the board of directors of the American Farm Bureau Federation.
