TSCHIGGFRIE COMPANIES. Started in 1963 by Ed Tschiggfrie with one piece of equipment, the firm by 1997 had grown to include Tschiggfrie Excavating, Tschiggfrie Stone, and Tschiggfrie Materials.
Involved in many construction projects including the freeway through Dubuque, Tschiggfrie was given the first contract on the NORTHWEST ARTERIAL.
