KOEPFLI, T. F. (Switzerland, Dec. 25, 1829--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 24, 1892). Koepfli emigrated to America in 1838 and  came to Dubuque in October, 1844. He located in a store located on what was known as the [[DEMOCRATIC CORNER]] and then in 1852 opened his own grocery. In 1880 carried on the business a longer than any other grocery dealer in Dubuque.  
KOEPFLI, Theodore F. (Switzerland, Dec. 25, 1829--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 24, 1892). Koepfli emigrated to America in 1838 and  came to Dubuque in October, 1844. He located himself in business in a store on what was known as the [[DEMOCRATIC CORNER]] and then in 1852 opened his own grocery. Between 1855 and 1865 the firm of Kiene and Koepfli was one of the most prosperous grocery businesses in the city. (1) Following the death of his partner, Koepfli continued the business by himself. In 1880 had carried on the business a longer time than any other grocery dealer in Dubuque.  
 
In the days of volunteer firemen, Koepfli was associated with the Volunteer Firemen's Association and served as secretary for several terms. (2)
 


In 1852, he was married to Miss Minna Bentson, from St. Louis; she came here in 1837.  They had two children.
