The 1865 through 1867 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed the corner of 10th and Jackson.
 
The 1868-69 through 1890-91 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed the west side of Washington between 9th and 10th. This property was sold in November, 1890 to [[CARR, RYDER AND ENGLER COMPANY]] for $4,000 giving the lumber company room for expansion. (1)
 
The 1913 and 1915 ''Dubuque City Directory'' stated that this business was located at 10th and Washington.
 
The 1922 and 1923 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 1005 Washington.
 
The 1939 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 1725 Sycamore.

WILLIAM MARSHALL BOILER WORKS. This Dubuque manufacturer, established around 1860, manufactured boilers, smoke-stacks, steel tanks, and general steel work.

The 1865 through 1867 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of 10th and Jackson.

The 1868-69 through 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed the west side of Washington between 9th and 10th. This property was sold in November, 1890 to CARR, RYDER AND ENGLER COMPANY for $4,000 giving the lumber company room for expansion. (1)

The 1913 and 1915 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at 10th and Washington.

The 1922 and 1923 Dubuque City Directory listed 1005 Washington.

The 1939 Dubuque City Directory listed 1725 Sycamore.
