SWORD AND SHIELD. The 1878-79 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed the Facade Building for this newspaper issued monthly by the Rev. Allan Curr. The paper was was printed by the ''Dubuque Herald'' for distribution to Baptist churches across Iowa. (1) The title was later applied to another Baptist publication. The Sword and Shield was one of two different publications by Elder Joe Hall of Whitesburg, Kentucky. The Sword and Shield was a monthly publication in booklet form and it ran from 1914-1920. (2)

SWORD AND SHIELD. The 1878-79 Dubuque City Directory listed the Facade Building for this newspaper issued monthly by the Rev. Allan Curr. The paper was was printed by the Dubuque Herald for distribution to Baptist churches across Iowa. (1) The title was later applied to another Baptist publication.
