In 1895 the bank occupied a building at the corner of 7th and Main. A partial owner of the [[BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING]] on the corner of 9th and Main, the bank occupied the ground level space on the corner. IOWA TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK. Organized in 1884 with a capital of $200,000, Iowa Trust in 1895 had as its officers G. L. Torbert, president and Frank D. STOUT, vice-president. Directors in that year were G. L. Torbert, John Peter ELLWANGER, Peter KIENE, Frank D. Stout, Jacob RICH, William H. Peabody, William Boyd ALLISON, Thomas CONNOLLY, and F. B. Daniels.
In 1895 the bank occupied a building at the corner of 7th and Main. A partial owner of the BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING on the corner of 9th and Main, the bank occupied the ground level space on the corner by 1903. The bank was brought to financial ruin by a run on its deposits in July 1932.
