KLAUER, Jacob. (Dubuque, IA, 1876--Cassville, WI, June 11, 1946). The son of Jacob and Catherine Klauer, Jacob and his family moved to Marcus, Iowa where he learned the printing trade working on the Remsen Bell. He later became a linotype operator for the Dubuque Herald.
Klauer moved to Cassville where he founded the Cassville Record which he operated for about twenty-five years. He was later employed by a newspaper in Lancaster.
