BISSELL, Frederick Ezekial, Jr. (Dubuque, IA, Jan. 11, 1910--Petosky, MI, Sept. 6, 1983). Bissell taught history at Harvard University, his alma mater, where his doctoral dissertation had been written on the history of the farm tractor.  


Bissell married, left college, and returned to Dubuque before completing his doctorate. He later became vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and sales manager of [[CARADCO]] and a director of [[SPAHN AND ROSE LUMBER COMPANY]], [[FINLEY HOSPITAL (THE)]], Adams Realty, and the National Woodwork Manufacturing Association. Bissell was also a member of the Dubuque Planning and Zoning Commission and vice-president of the [[H. B. GLOVER COMPANY]].
