NATIONAL BUTTER COMPANY OF IOWA. The National Butter Company of Iowa was incorporated to begin business on January 22 1932 and to continue business for twenty years unless dissolved by the stockholders. The business was located at 7th and White STREETS. (1) The company was to be involved in the manufacture and deal of butter and other dairy products.

In 1935 the farm administration announced the purchase of 3.2 million pounds of butter and 50,000 pounds of Cheddar cheese. This was to be turned over to the general surplus relief corporation for distribution to the unemployed. National Butter Company of Iowa was awarded one of the butter purchases. (2)


The 1939 through 1948 Dubuque Classified Business Directory listed 698 White for this wholesaler.

The 1955 Dubuque City Directory listed 698 White for this wholesaler.
