WOOTTON, Ignatus E. (Kentucky, Apr. 22, 1810--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 1, 1892). Second county treasurer of Dubuque County. Wootton, one of Dubuque's earliest settlers, moved here on October 10, 1832. He held the local offices of constable and deputy sheriff before his election as treasurer.
