The son of Ray H. and Lucille (Hentrich) Slaught, Raymond was a 1938 graduate of DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. He served his country in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1944 during WORLD WAR II. While stationed in England from 1943-1944 he flew over 100 missions of which 68 were considered purely combat. He earned 38 Air Medals for his service including the Presidential and Distinguished Unit..."
