	UNMACHT, Martin. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 4, 1895—Dubuque, IA, Mar. 12, 1953). Dubuque’s “Mr. Bowling.” At the time of his death, Unmacht was the only person in the history of the American Bowling Congress to have served twice as the president of the 17 million member organization. Selected to serve on the executive board of the American Bowling Association in 1931, he worked his way up from the position of seventh vice-president in 1931 and was first installed as president in March, 1942.
