Included in the audience were nuns representing 23 orders from across the United States. (1)

	The Very Reverend J. A. Driscoll, O.P. supervised the renovations of the convent of the Good Shepherd sisters on Asbury Road into an educational institution and a Dominican Priory. Father Driscoll directed the activities of the Priory for five years before being assigned to Rome. The first scholastic year began in September, 1951 with seminarians from the [[ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE]] and the diocese of Davenport, Sioux City, and Des Moines taking their places along with the Dominicans in the classrooms. ~~(1)~~		The Very Reverend J.
